Online reservation is now open for the 7th annual Chicago Restaurant Week, which begins on January 24, 2014. This year, Chicago Restaurant Week will run for 14 days--four days longer than last year--from January 24th through February 6th. Featuring over 250 restaurants throughout the Chicagoland area, including 40 new participating restaurants, Chicago's favorite culinary celebration is a great opportunity to revisit a favorite restaurant or discover a new one.
During Chicago Restaurant Week, participating restaurants will be offering prix fixe menus priced at $22 for lunch and $33/$44 for dinner, excluding beverages, tax, and gratuity.
Some new participants include American Junkie, Beatrix, CH Distillery, Quartino, Stella Barra Pizzeria, The Boarding House, The Refinery, Siena Tavern, among others. For a complete list of all participating restaurants, visit www.eatitupchicago.com or download the Choose Chicago mobile app via www.choosechicago.com/mobile-app. Check back often as restaurants and menus will be added daily.
Choose Chicago is also teaming up with Uber to bring free rides to Chicago Restaurant Week patrons. Diners receive a free first ride valued up to $25 by entering the code CHICAGORW on their Uber account. Also, for each first Uber ride by new users during the 14-day dining extravaganza, the Chicago Restaurant Week team will donate $1 to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Sign up today at www.uber.com to be sure you make it to your Chicago Restaurant Week reservation on time and in style.
If you can't wait until Chicago Restaurant Week starts, check in at First Bites Bash on January 23, 2014 hosted by Executive Chef Paul Kahan in Union Station's Great Hall. This official kick off event for Chicago Restaurant Week will feature savory and sweet tasting portions from over 50 participating restaurants in Chicago Restaurant Week.
