Jonathan Burr Elementary School, located in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood, anticipates the opening of a Tuition Based Preschool (TBP) program for the 2010 - 2011 school year.

TBP programs are an all-day education and child care program for preschool children ages three or four. Tuition costs are $9,960 for the school year, excluding meals. Meals may be brought from home or purchased for an additional fee. According to CPS requirements, each classroom must have a minimum of 20 students under the supervision of one early childhood certified teacher and two assistants. Most TBP programs use the Blueprint for Literacy Curriculum.

Burr Elementary School has offered, and continues to advertise, a half-day Preschool for All program.
