Kevin Lawrence, 46, was arrested on Jan. 13 for spitting in the face of a Secret Service agent that was guarding President Obama's Chicago home.
This incident first took place on Dec. 29. Agents claim Lawrence was calmly walking down the sidewalk when he approached the parked vehicle. According to chicagotribune.com, Lawrence then spit inside the car, striking an agent directly in the face. It is not public information if Lawrence has given any explanation for his behavior, or if he knew who was occupying the vehicle.
Police have not yet offered why Kevin Lawrence was allowed to walk the streets as a free man for two weeks before being arrested. Lawrence is currently being held on $50,000 bond and has been charged with aggravated battery of a peace officer. He is next scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19.
