Chicago man arrested for strangling puppy to death

Tiewian Johnson, a 37-year-old Chicago man, was charged Wednesday with aggravated cruelty to animals and assault.

Police arrived on the scene around 1:00 p.m. for a domestic disturbance call and discovered a dead Shih Tzu puppy on the front lawn. Johnson reportedly admitted he strangled the 3-month-old puppy to death.

Johnson is to appear in bond court today.

    This is just plain sick! How could someone do this to a defenseless animal! How can people live with themselves! This is really upsetting! Wish there was more attention brought to these kinds of cases!
