A Chicago resident reportedly used his handgun to stop a home invader who police say was a gang member with a long arrest record.
Police say that they pulled over Aaron Marshall of Chicago for a traffic violation, at which point he jumped out of his car, dropped the illegal drugs he was carrying, fled to a nearby home, and dove through the house's front window. The homeowner, who feared for his safety, reportedly grabbed his handgun and fired in self defense, striking Marshall in the chest and saving himself. Marshall, who survived, has reportedly been charged with criminal trespass, drug possession, driving while revoked, and failure to obey a stop sign. According to court records, Marshall's convictions include aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and a drug conviction.
This is the second time in about a week that a Chicago resident has used a handgun in self defense. In both of those cases, the homeowner survived unharmed, after using their gun to successfully stop the home invader - just as happens in every day across the country. Hopefully, the soon to be decided McDonald v. Chicago case will put an end to Chicago’s handgun ban, enabling Chicago's citizens to defend themselves without having to worry about going to jail for violating a pointless handgun ban.

Mayhap someone can finally tell Mayor "Bayonet" Daley that he can strap on his own gat and dismiss his bodyguard detail...the nice fellows with the full auto sub machine guns.
Keep up with the great articles and thanks for enlarging them with greater detail and specificity.
Cheers from Wyoming....an Open Carry State.
When is Mayor Daley going to learn that he can be put in prison for the felony of conspiring or using the "Color of the Law" to deprive citizens of their 2nd Ammendment rights.
Under 18 USC 241 and 242 the maximum penalty is execution of the offending elected politician.
Could Mayor Daley be protecting criminals because he is one too? If the people of Chicago don't vote out this guy, then they must live with his ideas and the many innocent deaths due to his views. It's THEIR choice.
Got something to say?
