During the last weekend of September, Millennium Park will be buzzing with foodies indulging in some of Illinois' finest restaurants. Chicago Gourmet is an annual event that celebrates the robust culinary scene of the area. For two days, the Chicago landmark will host numerous restaurants, vineyards, spirits and beer purveyors.

While each and every booth is a foodie's culinary dream, the Grand Cru event of Chicago Gourmet is a celebration of culinary royalty. In honor of the 2015 James Beard Awards coming to Chicago, this year the Grand Cru celebrates James Beard Award winning chefs.

James Beard Award winning talent in the 2014 Chicago Gourmet Grand Cru include:

  • Justin Aprahamian, Sanford
  • Jimmy Bannos Jr., The Purple Pig
  • Jamie Bissonnette, Coppa
  • Rohini Dey, Vermilion
  • Michelle Gayer, Salty Tart
  • Perry Hendrix, Blackbird
  • Stephanie Izard, Girl and the Goat
  • Roland Liccioni, Les Nomades

  • Ryan McCaskey, Acadia
  • Jonathon Sawyer, The Greenhouse Tavern
  • Mindy Segal, HotChocolate

While the inspired culinary creations of the award winning chefs are spectacular, the Grand Cru will host a stellar list of sommeliers. Some of the world's finest wine will be available for tasting.

Chicago showcases its impressive food and wine community in the Chicago Gourmet culinary experience. Created by the Illinois Restaurant Association and the Anton Family Foundation, the event celebrates and honors Chicago's culinary achievements and creative vision of the chefs, master sommeliers and wine makers during the weekend. Chicago Gourmet is presented by title sponsor Bon Appétit magazine, in conjunction with the Illinois Restaurant Association and Southern Wine and Spirits of Illinois.

Chicago Gourmet will be held September 27 and 28 in Chicago's Millennium Park. Tickets are $170 plus tax for main event tickets. Grand Cru tickets are an additional $199 plus tax (main event tickets must be purchased). To purchase tickets, please visit
