As Chicago settles into the fall, Millennium Park comes alive with an annual celebration of food and wine known as Chicago Gourmet. Presented by Bon Appetit, the event features more than 150 of Chicago's finest restaurants and chefs. In addition to the delicious food bites, the event will offer live cooking demonstrations, expert seminars, gourmet tastings, and much more.
For the seventh year, Chicago is celebrating its culinary talents in this weekend long event. Over the past several years, Chicago has excelled with nationally and internationally recognized restaurants and chefs. Chicago Gourmet is the perfect time to applaud the wonderful dishes and flavors that many Chicagoans have come to love.
New for the 2014 event are two food pavilions. The BBQ Foods pavilion and the World Street Foods pavilion will offer the diversity that Chicago has come to crave. In addition to these new items, guests will be available to attend seminars and learn about current food trends.
One of the special qualities to this event is the interaction with highly acclaimed chefs. The line-up for the 2014 event includes Celebrity Chef Talent: Carla Hall, Masaharu Morimoto, Rick Bayless, Graham Elliot, Carlos Gaytan, Stephanie Izard, Tony Mantuano, Jeff Mauro, Mindy Segal, and Andrew Zimmerman.
Ticket for 2014 Chicago Gourmet are available now. Single day general admission tickets are $170 plus tax. These tickets allow for full access to the festival area, which includes numerous culinary tasting pavilions, live cooking demonstrations presented at 30-minute intervals on the Bon Appétit Main Stage and the Bon Appétit Culinary Stage, as well as premium wine and spirits tastings and seminars. A weekend pass is $275 plus tax.
Other events during the weekend celebration include Grand Cru, Hamburger Hop and Tribute to Charlie Trotter dinner.
