Hey there CFTE readers! I hope all of you are well. It's been a crazy year and Chicago continues to thrive. I was hoping to write a little column about a great project that I am working on along with other fellow fashion lovers.
Many of you have kept up with me here on Examiner.com as well as on my blog The Fashion Revolucion. You all have heard my tales of entreprenuership and inspiration. Well, I'm embarking on an even bigger journey in the publishing world and I am hoping that you all will tag along for the ride.
I have launched a new Chicago fashion publication dubbed Halfstack Magazine. The magazine is dedicated to showcasing Chicago creatives and professionals making their dreams happen. We are also hoping to help others achieve their dreams through amazing interviews with people who are actually usuing their craft as their career. Although this is a digital zine, our first special issue (along with successive annual Spring Issues) will be printed.
The first issue goes live on March 5th 2012 on halfstackmag.com! I hope you all give it a chance. This is where all you lovely readers out there come in. We are working on funding our first print issue and we need to meet our goal in 3 Days. Just click THIS LINK to check out our video short and more details on our Kickstarter Page! Even if you can't donate, please share the word over social media! Anything and every bit counts.
I adore you all and as always appreciate your support. We are also hosting a launch party at Dueces the Diamond Club to celebrate the launch of the site and print issue on Thur March 8, 2012 from 8-11 PM. $30 cover charge, but you get open bar for 3 hours and a portion of the proceeds will go towards the Live Out Loud Charity, an organization dedicate suicide prevention and youth empowerment! RSVP for the event here.
