5:30 pm ♦ Firkin Friday Cask Tapping: Arcadia Imperial Stout
The Bavarian Lodge, 1800 Ogden Ave, Lisle, IL (630) 241-4701
For this week's Firkin Friday feature, we're happy to present Arcadia Imperial Stout (8.4% abv). Black as coal in color, this cask conditioned Stout has a velvety rich and sweet malt aroma. A dense brown head gives way to a big, full-bodied and creamy texture that has flavors of roasted coffee and black currants, blending perfectly with the malt. A generous amount of hops add balance and complexity to this extraordinary stout (80 IBU). This stout is absolutely gorgeous in this special cask-conditioned format. The cask will be tapped at approximately 5:30 pm at the bar. Its delicious contents will be available to everyone in both the restaurant and pub until the firkin runs dry. First come, first served.
