The Half Acre folk say: "If you've been to our store, you've probably seen that we are very fond of the sauces coming out the space that the CO-OP folks have just up the street from us. If you visited them there, you also then know that they not only make sauce, but pretty delicious meals as well. We are thus pretty excited to announce that they are bringing that food to our taproom for one of our Monday Nights Dinners. $30 (plus fees, through Brown Paper Tickets gets you a plate with:

  • Roast Chayote, caramelized onion and ricotta salata tart, with salsa verde.
  • Chorizo Meatball, diablo gravy, on demi baguette with pickled beet slaw.
  • Cashew thumbprint cookie with pineapple center.

Wash it all down with two pints of our beer, and a 5oz pour to go along with the cookie.

We brew Double Daisy Cutter every three months. You see it as one weather pattern bleeds into the next. It's part of Half Acre's circadian rhythm to touch base with this beer and pump it out to the city. Tough winter, you say? You're not kidding. You owe it to yourself to shed the shell and cut loose. Double Daisy Cutter, in the greater body of beer being brewed today, isn't a 'big' beer. It's a heavy weight session beer, really (8% abv). But, the hop content and process that it endures makes it a vicious pet, indeed. Imagine your haziest friend blowing weed in an orange tree after mowing the lawn.
Take that aroma, douse it in booze and spread it on a slice of multigrain. You've got yourself an open faced Double Daisy sandwich, and it's lunch time. Winter has pulled your underwear clear over your head. Rally back and take what is yours. On draft, and in 22 oz. bottles ($9.99, limit 4).

Join us as we celebrate the rare, barrel-aged, and vintage side of one of our American Craft favorites, North Coast Brewing Company! A pioneer in the Craft Beer movement, North Coast Brewing Company opened in 1988 as a local brewpub in the historic town of Fort Bragg, located on California’s Mendocino Coast. Under the leadership of Brewmaster Mark Ruedrich, the brewery has developed a strong reputation for quality having won more than 70 awards in national and international competitions.
Stop in and enjoy some of North Coast's rarest releases, along with a handful of year-round brews as well. Our first Evening of DryHop APA’s features the resurrection of Hope, Empire, & Jedi from our second APA series, as well as 91, the first brew of our third APA series. Every beer in each of our APA series features the same malt bill, but different hops.
No Ewoks were harmed in the brewing of the beer of our second APA Series:

  • Hope – APA – 5.5% – Citrus bombs Simcoe and Amarillo kick the series off in style.
  • Empire – APA – 5.5% – Featuring new hop all stars Mosaic and Motueka.
  • Jedi – APA – 5.5% –Featuring hall of famers Citra and Centennial.
  • 91 – APA – 5.5% – “91” is an homage to the Chicago Bulls first championship. We used Red-X malt to give this citrusy APA a nice malty and nutty balance. Much like his Airness and Pip, Amarillo and Mosaic are the stars of this refreshing APA.

Jukebox Hero is Revolution Brewing's first black IPA and the first 2014 Hero Series release. We're celebrating this new beer -- how else -- with music. We each picked a song for our own jukebox mix to be played at release parties in the area. Stop by for draft specials and a copy of our Rev Brew crew compilation CD.
Jukebox Hero is a double dry-hopped black IPA with layers of American hops that shine against a roasty malt backdrop. 7.5% ABV. Also available in 22-ounce bombers at our tap room and at select retailers.

Enjoy a selection of Sixpoint’s “Spice of Life” series, which features single hop varieties including Summer, Nelson Sauvin, Ahtanum and Motueka. One is brewed per month, and changes over the course of the year depending on production. Jake’s is the first Chicago spot to offer this many varieties on draft all at one time.
Drink up the Righteous, a crisp rye that is well balanced and pairs great with BBQ, or the newest seasonal option, the Seison. The tap takeover marks the first Chicago tapping of this beer—a perfect transition from Chiberia to springtime.
Sixpoint Brewery’s National Brand Manager Andrew McLeod and Chicago Representative Drew Daly will be on hand to educate guests on the brews.

Dinner will begin promptly at 7pm, so we encourage arrival between 6:30-7 to get your "Welcome Drinks".

High Noon welcomes Bend, Oregon’s Deschutes Brewery for the launch of the brewery’s Mirror Mirror oak-aged barley wine. High Noon will be the first venue in Chicago to offer the limited edition Reserve Series brew, which has only been released by the brewery twice before (2009 and 2005). The no-cover event features a meet-and-greet with Gavin Stoub from Deschutes Brewing and live music from 8-11 p.m. High Noon offers suggested Tex-Mex food pairings and features four Deschutes beers: Mirror Mirror, The Abyss, Fresh Squeezed IPA and Red Chair NWPA (prices vary).
