Half Acre and Sunday Dinner Club are celebrating German food for this month's event. By now everyone who's been to Lincoln Square at least once knows that this part of town is deep-rooted in German tradition. So we got our German act together to deliver a feast of German food and a very German libation: beer.
Here's the menu: Cheddar Brats, House-made Kraut, Spring onion pickle, Spicy mustard on crusty bread, spring potato and asparagus salad. And to conclude: German Chocolate Cupcake.
Tickets are $30 plus fee at Brown Paper Tickets. Two seatings to choose from, 6 or 8:30pm. Price includes three 13oz. pours of any of our beers on tap.

Join us as we welcome critically acclaimed beer author and historian, Ron Pattinson, to the Chicago area before he heads up to Grand Rapids, MI for this year's National Homebrew Conference. Ron has written a series of mini-books; he is also an established columnist in BeerAdvocate Magazine and blogs on Shut Up About Barclay Perkins. His almost subversive-feeling historical research is making its way to brewers around the world and he's arguably becoming one of the most influential figures in beer today. His most recent published book is entitled,"The Homebrewer's Guide to Vintage Beer", through which we are ushered on an intimate tour through time with a historical collection of beer recipes from 1800 to 1965.
There will be book signings, Q&A and drawings for copies of his new book. Ron currently lives in Amsterdam, so this may be a rare opportunity to meet him and drink a beer with him too!

Green Flash Brewing, based in San Diego CA, is holding a conference in Chicago. Their representatives will be stopping by Quenchers Saloon to enjoy a nightcap and take over a few of our taps. We're featuring a re-formatted version of their West Coast Double IPA, East Village Pilsner, and their newest beer: Road Warrior Imperial Rye IPA. Coozies and other swag will be flowing just as freely as the drafts.

Please join us as we join forces with very talented crew at Solemn Oath Brewery for a four course family style dinner to celebrate the one year anniversary of endgrain restaurant.
