Sheffield's & New Holland Brewing Co. present the 3rd annual Smoke The Goat Out Of It! We're smoking a goat on Cubs Opening Day and ending that Cubbie's curse!
Because of the curse of the goat on the Chicago Cubs 69 years ago, we’ve decided to take matters into our own hands at Sheffield’s. With the help of New Holland Brewing Co., we’re going to smoke a goat at Sheffield’s (AGAIN) in hopes to SMOKE out that curse! We tried it last year and the year before and, well it didn’t quite work but we won’t be defeated, so let’s try this again!
Kick off your day from 10am-12:30pm with our Acoustic Brunch Buffet and wash it down with a variety of RARE New Holland beers and Sheffield’s & New Holland’s EXOTIC beer cocktails. LIVE acoustic music from Evan Hand will be played throughout. $25 lets you chow down on some of Chef VJ’s delicious creations and get 2 drink tickets valid for two of the many New Holland drafts we’ll have tapped throughout the day.
Stay with us during the game and sample Chef VJ’s Smoked Goat Menu.
Stick around during the game or head back after your visit to Wrigley Field and check out our post game party. There’ll be a LIVE DJ, along with tons of raffle prizes and giveaways as well as cigar girls and live art and entertainment throughout the day and night.
