5:00 pm ♦ KBS Tapping at Tribes Alehouse Tinley
The Tribes Alehouse, 9501 W. 171st St., Tinley Park, IL (708) 966-2051
A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. The process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.

5:30 - 9:00 pm ♦ Doin' It Up with Dogfish Head!
Standard Market, 333 E. Ogden Ave., Westmont, IL (630) 366-7030
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is one of our all time favorites, and we have some special treats from the Delaware beer wizards to share with you. We will be sampling some rare and hard to find bottlings, and we are firing up the Randall to infuse the 90 Minute IPA with vanilla and pipe tobacco, as well as the Aprihop with some fresh fruit.

Growlers of porter are available all day for $10 but the special pairing is only from 6-7. Fight for your right for better beer! See you there-boss

7:30 pm ♦ Spring Beer Tasting
The Bluebird Chicago, 1749 N. Damen Ave., Chicago (773) 486-2473
Spring beers cast a broad net and many times are the hostage to the seasons, just as wine is. Eventually like the rise and fall of the sun, there comes a moment where it feels right to trade in our stouts and Doppelbocks for crisp white wheats and bright, shining Saisons. It’s hard to say what’s more exciting, the end of the bitter cold or the anticipation for the warm, sunny days to come! Either way, we’re raising our glasses to a new season of beer. Join us for a casual gathering where we share beers, conversation and chef-selected plates.
$40: tickets are available on

Wednesday, April 16

4:00 pm ♦ Wednesday Tapping at Tribes Alehouse, Mokena
The Tribes Alehouse, 11220 W. Lincoln Hwy, Mokena, IL (815) 464-0248
Firestone Walker §ucaba: Big boozy bourbon and American oak aromas combined with soft chocolate malty undertones. Complex malt flavors framed in oak, with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, coconut and just a touch of dark cherry. This is definitely a sipping beer, best served in a brandy snifter. This ale pairs well with dark chocolate and sturdy cheeses
