As a parting song to summer for festivalgoers, Chicago celebrates the 5th year of the North Coast Music Festival during this weekend, August 29-31st. Located at Union Park on Chicago’s West Side, North Coast offers a more intimate setting when considering the powerhouse lineup, so don’t expect crowds like that of the legendary Lollapalooza or Spring Awakening festivals.
A quick stroll across the festival grounds reveals five unique stages and a great variety of sounds and vibes complete with VIP sections for those willing to spend the extra cash.
This weekend audiences excitedly await another diverse line up full of must see acts. Electronic dance music fans once again will feel at home with electronic giants such as Wolfgang Gartner, Alesso and Dada Life. While more bass driven EDM fans will feel at home with the likes of Zeds Dead, Adventure Club and of course the popular NCMF regular, Bassnectar.
Non-electronic music listeners need not fret as North Coast offers a fix of Rap with Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi, Gritz and Talib Kweli. Or if one prefers something a little more groovy and jam based make sure to catch STS9, The New Deal and Papadosio.
