Chicago Bulls rumors address Derrick Rose and his injury rehab yet again. These latest 2013 Chicago Bulls rumors indicate that Rose has left the door open for a possible return in time for the NBA Playoffs. According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times that was updated on Sunday (Dec. 29), coach Tom Thibodeau gave some answers to questions on how the point guard is progressing toward a return to the court.
Thibodeau stated, "He’s doing fine, coming along. He’s on a crutch, he’s got his brace, so I don’t want him sitting there like that [now]. Well, he can lift upper-body, do all his rehab stuff, so he is starting to move around a little bit now. He can go in the pool."
The team has stated that they expect Rose back on the end of the bench by mid-January and that he will become a fixture there with his team. The organization has also ruled him out for the rest of the regular season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. What they have not done is rule him out for the postseason, keeping the continued hope that he could return if the team makes it into the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
These Chicago Bulls rumors are very familiar, as it is the same story that was going around during last season when analysts were arguing about whether he should rest or get out on the court to help his team. The team may eventually simply state that Derrick Rose won't be back until next October, but that statement hasn't come yet.
