Chicago area weather forecast for Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Another day, another warmer than average afternoon high expected.

As an upper level ridge builds over the region we should see decreasing clouds during the day Tuesday.  A warm front is expected to set up shop to our south with an east/northeast wind around 10 mph.  Highs are expected to top in the upper 60s with cooler temperatures near the lake and warmer temperatures well inland.

The warm front is forecast to be dragged back through the region and with lots of sunshine expected Wednesday we should see a boost in our temperatures in the afternoon.  Thursday should be even warmer ahead of cold front.

As the cold front approaches we'll look for a chance for a few showers or thunderstorms late Thursday.  A better chance for rain is expected early Friday when the front sweeps through the area.
