Whether you're attending all the shows during the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week beginning today, or your invites were lost in the mail, you can help celebrate the fall-winter designs by swinging by the Chic Rattle & Roll boutique truck outside the Muse Hotel (130 West 46th St). Parked outside the hotel throughout Fashion Week, the stylish boutique on wheels is open to the general public.
Visitors can peruse fashions from designer brands while sipping cocktails from the Muse Hotel bar, including a signature drink, the Chic Rattle & Rocktail (recipe below). Not unlike the innovative food trucks scattered around town, CR&R founders Danielle Mazzurco and Lisa Dunn opted for a boutique on wheels over a brick-and-mortar to showcase their collective fashion concepts and favorite brands.
In addition to the novelty, visitors can also do some good. During the event, both the Muse Hotel and Chic Rattle & Roll will be donating a portion of their proceeds to Dress for Success. At the hotel, $1 of each cocktail sold goes to the charity designed to help those re-entering the workforce with professional wardrobes. Those who order the signature cocktail receive a 10% discount in the truck, and shoppers who spend $100 or more receive a free cocktail at the bar by showing their receipt.
Chic Rattle & Roll and the Muse Hotel will partner up from Thursday, September 5 through Thursday, September 11, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, visit chicrattleandroll.com and themusehotel.com Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runs from September 5 through September 12, 2013.
