Join Cancer Support Community-Redondo Beach (CSC-RB) and South Bay restaurateur Michael Franks on Monday, February 17, for Undiscovered Chefs 2014: Food, Booze, and You at Chez Melange in Redondo Beach.

Up and coming chefs are encouraged to take part in an exclusive, hands on, cooking encounter with Michael Franks and Chef Robert Bell of Chez Melange, and then a unique Chez experience that includes the restaurant’s Bouzy Gastropub and Bar Comida.

Join Michael and a team of student chefs for this exclusive culinary event all in the name of support, education and hope for cancer patients and their families.

Guests will enjoy a gastronomic experience as they watch the presentation of chefs and bid on many valuable silent and live auction items.

Chez “Student Chef” experiences are limited and selling fast at $225 per person (from 2 to 9 p.m.). Tickets for dinner guests are $95 per person (from 5 to 9 p.m.).

“This is the second time that we have teamed up with Chez Melange for this event,” said CSC-RB executive director Judith Opdahl. “We know that this will be a great success and truly appreciate Michael and Robert opening their restaurant and hearts to further our ongoing mission of support for cancer patients and their loved ones.”

Sponsors include Sanofi Oncology, Vantage Oncology, Portia and Andy Cohen and Southbay Magazine.

All proceeds will benefit CSC-RB’s free programs for cancer patients and their loved ones.
