It is that time of the year, where we make our picks on who we think will win the Eastern Maine title in each class for the upcoming football season.
- Class A- Cheverus has been the most dominant regular season team in the state in recent years. They are the pick to win class A east. Portland and Bangor are expected to be the biggest challenge for the Stags.

- Class B- The Brunswick Dragons are the unanimous pick to win class B east. Defending champion Cony should not be counted out despite losing Ben Lucas to graduation.

- Class C- Winslow and Waterville are looked at as the favorites once again. Winslow is our pick as they have the most returning impact players. Foxcroft will have a new look offense that could give headaches to opposing defensive coordinators. MDI will be a threat. Old Town, Belfast, Hermon, and Madison will be battling it out for the final playoff spots. Nokomis and Camden Hills are ineligible for postseason play, but will be a tough game each week during the regular season.

- Class D- Maine Central Institute (MCI) is our pick to represent Eastern Maine in the class D state championship game the weekend before thanksgiving. Jonathan Santiago,Greg Vigue, and Austin Tolman lead the way for the high powered Huskies offense. Defending LTC champion Bucksport can not be overlooked, as they have a strong returning group that includes quarterback Matthew Stewart. Mattanawcook, Orono, John Bapst, Dexter, Mount View, and Stearns should be battling it out for the final two playoff spots.
