On Saturday, the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, welcomed Chevelle back to North Carolina. Since the release of their RIAA certified platinum second album Wonder What's Next in 2002, the melodic rock band has produced five additional chart topping albums. Chevelle released their newest album La Gárgola in April this year, which debuted at the third spot on the Billboard 200 and they have spent the summer on tour and performing at numerous festivals in support of the album. The band performed at The Fillmore in Charlotte back in April, just weeks after the release.

The Raleigh show was held on the Lincoln Theatre's outdoor stage, and Chevelle began their set just after 9:00 P.M.. They performed for about an hour and a half long, showcasing much of the new material from La Gárgola. They opened with "An Island" and "Take Out The Gunman," then later performed "Hunter Eats Hunter" and "Twinge". The set was balanced with older favorites and chart toppers "Send The Pain Below," and "Vitamin R", with an encore performance of "The Red," and "Face to the Floor."

LA based bands Kyng and Dayshell were the opening acts for Chevelle. The three bands will be performing numerous dates throughout the country through early September, then Chevelle will head overseas on a European tour.
