Chester wins season opener Bassmaster Weekend Series Georgia Division Schedule

The weekend series gives competitive anglers a professionally operated tour and a path to the world championship of bass fishing the Bassmaster Classic. American Bass Anglers is committed to providing low fee, close to home tournaments for the weekend angler as well and a ladder up to professional bass fishing.

Mike L. Chester Warner Robbins won the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series run by American Bass Anglers, Georgia Division 8 Tournament, February 9th, 2013 on Lake Sinclair. Chester caught a five fish stringer, cranking and on jigs, weighing 20.53 with a 7.49 bass fish for $2600.

In second place Micheal Reid Perry brought in 15.74 for $1300. Barry Stokes Covington, third place, fished 14.07 for $860.

To compete in the Bassmaster Weekend Series you must be a member of American Bass Anglers and BASS:

  • March 2 Lake Seminole,
  • April 20 Lake Oconee,
  • June 22 Lake Eufala,
  • Sepetember 21-22 Lake Lanier,
  • Regional October 4-5 Lake Hartwell,
  • National Championship November 6-9 Old Hickory Henderson, Tennessee.

To fish the two-day at Lake Lanier you must fish at least two of the 1-day tournaments during the season.

At the end of the season one BWS angler will go on to compete in the 2014 Bassmaster Classic.
