Brian's exclusive forecast for Annapolis: Morning clouds and fog giving way to a mostly sunny sky today. It will be warm, but less humid, with a high in the mid 80s. Light northwest winds. Tonight, the sky will be mostly clear with a low in the lower 60s. Northwest winds around 10 mph. On Wednesday, expect mostly sunny conditions with a high in the low 80s. The extended outlook calls for clouds & sun on Thursday with a low in the low 60s and a high in the low 80s. Mostly sunny on Friday with a low in the mid 50s and a high in the mid to upper 70s.
High pressure will build over the Middle Atlantic states today in the wake of a cold front that swept across the bay region on Monday. After some morning clouds and areas of fog, the sky will become mostly sunny. It will be less humid today, but still quite warm with a high in the middle 80s. Temperatures will settle into the low 60s by Wednesday morning and then rebound into the lower 80s by Wednesday afternoon. A second frontal system will bring some clouds to the area on Thursday, but there will still be some sunshine and a high in the lower 80s. Behind the second front, cooler air will overspread the region so that by Thursday morning we will be recording temperatures in the middle to upper 50s. During the day on Thursday, highs will only climb into the middle to upper 70s.
On the Maryland portion of Chesapeake Bay, a Small Craft Advisory is in effect from this afternoon through late tonight. Winds today will come out of the northwest at 10 mph with waves of 1 to 2 feet. Tonight, winds increase from 10 to 20 knots with waves from 1 to 2 feet.
