Brian's exclusive forecast for Annapolis: Warm and humid today with scattered showers during the day and isolated afternoon thunderstorms. A high of 88 degrees is expected. Isolated thundershowers this evening will give way to a mostly cloudy and muggy overnight with a low near 70. On Wednesday we can expect warm and humid conditions with afternoon thunderstorms possible and a high of 88 degrees.
Temperatures this morning range from the upper 60s to lower 70s at 7 a.m. Under a mostly cloudy sky, isolated rain showers are falling at some locations around the bay. During the day we can expect to see considerable cloudiness with filtered sunshine from time to time. Additionally, there may be isolated afternoon or early evening thundershowers. An upper level system will move into the area during the day and spark isolated thundershowers this afternoon and evening. Meanwhile, on Wednesday a cold front will approach the bay region and will result in additional thundershowers Wednesday afternoon and evening. Highs on Wednesday will once again reach the upper 80s. In the wake of the frontal passage, we can expect drier air to overspread the area on Thursday and Friday. Highs each day will be in the mid 80s, but it will feel more comfortable. Overnight lows during the period will settle into the low to mid 60s.
On the Maryland portion of Chesapeake Bay, there are no advisories currently in effect. Winds today through Wednesday will come out of the southeast at less than 10 knots with waves of one foot or less. However, isolated thundershowers may reduce visibilities and produce gusty winds.
