Clear and seasonably cool overnight with a low in the low 50s inland to the upper 50s near the bay shore. Mostly sunny on Saturday and a bit warmer with a high around 80. Clear and pleasant on Saturday night with a low in the upper 50s. Morning sunshine followed by afternoon clouds on Sunday with a high in the low to mid 80s.
Canadian high pressure is building over the Middle-Atlantic states this morning and will allow for a mostly sunny and pleasant late-summer day. Highs today's will only reach the middle 70s with a fresh breeze from the north/northwest. Under high pressure, and with near calm winds, thermometer readings will settle into the low 50s inland to the upper 50s near the bay shore by Saturday morning. More sunshine is anticipated during the day on Saturday, and it will be a touch warmer with a high near 80. By Sunday, winds will shift to the south/southwest ahead of another weak cold front that will produce some cloudiness during the day; however, we will see a good deal of sunshine mixing with the clouds. The southerly flow will enable temperatures to climb into the low to mid 80s by late Sunday afternoon.
On the Maryland portion of Chesapeake Bay, a Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. as winds may gust over 20 knots at times from the north. Winds will begin to diminish later this afternoon. Overnight, winds will come out of the south at less than 10 knots with waves less than one foot. On Sunday, winds will continue out of the south at less than 10 knots with waves less than one foot. Marine weather information is provided only as a guide.
