The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for counties to the north and west of Baltimore and Washington for the period late Thursday night through early Friday morning. High pressure and calm winds will combine to create ideal radiational cooling conditions. Thermometer readings are expected to drop into the mid to upper 30s near the bay shore, but inland areas may experience temperatures in the lower 30s.
A Freeze Warning has been issued for counties in south-central Pennsylvania effective late tonight into Thursday morning as temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s for a period of four to six hours.
Additional frost and/or freeze warnings may be issued for Friday night into Saturday as temperatures are expected to fall into the 30s once again.
