On July 23, 2014, Cheryl Cole celebrated the debut of her fragrance StormFlower by attending the launch party, which was held at Avenue restaurant in London. Cole was accompanied by her second husband, restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, whom she eloped with in Mustique on July 7, 2014, after the couple dated for only three months. On July 21, 2014, the newlyweds celebrated their wedding with a party at members-only club The Library in London in order to include people close to them who were not invited to their Mustique wedding, which reportedly had only four people in attendance. The couple's wedding celebration in London reportedly had 40 to 50 guests.
According to the Daily Mirror, attendees at the wedding party included Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, who are two former members of Girls Aloud, the singing group that made Cole famous. Girls Aloud was formed in 2002 on the reality show "Popstars: The Rivals," and the group amicably disbanded after the end of a 2013 tour.
The Daily Mirror reported that former JLS singer Marvin Humes hosted the StormFlower party, where he asked Cole if she was enjoying married life. She replied, "Yes I'm enjoying it very much thank you."
StormFlower goes on sale at U.K. retailers Superdrug and the Perfume Shop on Aug. 27, 2014. Cole's other big business venture in the beauty business is her spokesperson deal with L'Oreal Paris Feria.
Meanwhile, "X Factor" U.K. announcer Peter Dickson has confirmed speculation that Cole will soon be going by the name Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in her career. Dickson said in a recent Capital FM interview: "I had a phone call a few weeks ago from the producers to tell me who the new judges were. They said, 'It's Cheryl,' and I said, 'Oh that's fine, she's back,' and they said, 'No but she's changed her name, she's married Jean-Bernard and she wants to be known by his second name, so can you start practicing?' So I have been… not very successfully!"
Cole (whose maiden name is Tweedy) was previously married to soccer player Ashely Cole from 2006 to 2010. The marriage ended in a bitter divorce that was frequently covered by tabloids. In her 2012 memoir "Cheryl: My Story," she said that her marriage to Ashley was ruined because he was a chronically unfaithful husband who humiliated her with several adulterous affairs.
On her website and on her most recent music releases, she has been going by the single-word moniker Cheryl. She'll probably stick to being a first-name-only celebrity instead of changing her professional name to Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
