Cher will be on "The Voice" this season as an adviser. On Sept. 9, MSN reported that the "Woman's World" singer will be working with Team Blake, giving some sound advice to the contestants as they compete for the number one spot. Other advisers on this season include Ed Sheeran, OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, and Miguel.
"This group of wildly successful musicians will add their distinctive talents to their respective teams. I know Christina, Adam, Cee Lo and Blake are very much looking forward to having them come aboard," said NBC Entertainment's president of alternative and late-night programming Paul Telegdy (via MSN).
Cher appearing on "The Voice" is not surprising because she has an album to promote. While Cher might always have a level of popularity, each time she makes a new record she finds herself going up against different pop singers and trying to pave her own way again. By signing on to do "The Voice," Cher is going to get the attention that she needs for her comeback.
"The Voice" will premiere on Sept. 23 and will feature the four original coaches. Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green will be back in their seats after taking last season off. The only person who will be missing is co-host Christina Milian -- she will be competing on "Dancing with the Stars."
Will Cher on "The Voice" get you watching? Are you excited for the show's return?
