Cheneta Jones has officially been nominated for the upcoming 28th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards to be held on Saturday. January 19, 2013. Cheneta is nominated under the category, “New Artist of the Year” for her hit project “TRANSFORMED”.
The official Stellar Gospel Music Award nominees were announced on Friday October 26th online by Central City Productions. Among Gospel music’s finest artists Cheneta Jones has been noted as the industry’s fastest rising newcomer.
Cheneta Jones’ debut project “TRANSFORMED” was released in May, 2012, on Real Talent Media Group / Habakkuk Music / INgrooves Fontana Distribution and landed at #13 on the Billboard Gospel Chart, #16 Heatseekers Chart and #31 Top Christian Gospel Chart.
The St. Louis singer/songwriter has cranked out three Gospel Radio Hits from her acclaimed project. “We Worship You” and “Be Like You” have landed in the Top 40, while her latest single “Get There” has just hit the Mediabase Gospel Chart at #23 and the BDS Gospel Chart at #30. She currently is the only new artist with three gospel songs in the top 200 on both radio charts.
