Chelsea turned around a 3-1 loss at Paris Saint-Germain with a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge to advance to the semifinal on away goals.

An ominous sign presented the hosts on 17 minutes played. Star attacking midfielder Eden Hazard went down and subsequently had to be substituted off due to injury.

However, it was his replacement, Andre Schurrle, that opened the scoring.

A long throw from Branislav Ivanovic was flicked on by David Luiz in the penalty box. The football fell right to the German’s boot and he was able to convert a rather easy chance.

Just after 50 minutes it was Schurrle again, but his luck was absent. Willian pulled back a pass onto his run, and the ball cannoned off the crossbar.

PSG immediately conceded a free kick just outside of the area. Oscar, too, put it off the crossbar and the ball was eventually cleared.

Petr Cech was called into action about five minutes later parrying away a free kick across the face of goal.

Edinson Cavani has a chance to kill the tie off in the 76th minute with an opportunity from the left side. But instead, the ball was blazed over the bar.

In the 79th minute, PSG managed to grab some possession. Lucas Moura rifled in a shot, but Cech made a smart save and caught the football in the process.

Fortunes changed in the 87th minute.

A long ball hit into the box bounced around and Torres struck for goal. A deflection played it right into the path of Demba Ba who applied the finish.

Chelsea defended well in the final minutes to see out the 2-0 score to advance 3-3 on away goals.
