Chelsea told to raise their offer for Internacional star Oscar

Chelsea’s pursuit of young Brazilian starlet, Oscar looks to have taken a step in the wrong direction after reports from TalkSport have claimed that the player’s club has told the London based English Premier League side to raise their offer.

Report have already indicated that the Blues are looking at an outlay of at least £20 million according to their first initial offers, but now it could raise even higher.

With Blues owner Roman Abramovich doing all that he can to bring in the best young talent in the game during recent seasons, it looks like his willingness to pay big sums for unproven talent is about to be tested once more.

Internacional club President, Giovanni Luigi made the following statements on the matter to Radio Gaucha as quoted by TalkSport:

To let the player go, we have to make sure that from an economic point of view the sale is one of the most important in the history of Brazilian football, because the boy will be a world star. And right now the offer from Chelsea does not reach those levels.

It is also believed that the fear that the Brazilian club could also lose another rising young star in Leandro Damiao that they are raising their prices to be sure the compensate for their impending lose of talent.

British news outlet, the Guardian is claiming that Chelsea are nearing a possible deal worth £25 million that could possibly be the biggest deal in Brazilian youth history.
