Chelsea Transfers: Frank Lampard wants move to Italian side Fiorentina

Chelsea have been on the verge of giving veteran midfielder Frank Lampard his marching orders since the end of the 2011-12 campaign and the clubs subsequent UEFA Champions League victory. According to reports from TalkSport on Jan. 10. 2013 it appears that the Blues legend has made up his mind where he wants to move to before the end of the month.

Aside from multiple inquiries from clubs such as AS Monaco, Queens Park Rangers and stunningly Manchester United, it looks as though it is an Italian club that has caught the eye of Lampard.

It is believed that the midfielder is set on a move to Florence based Fiorentina and the Viola would be more than willing to welcome him to Italy with open arms as a veteran leader to slot in next to former AS Roma and Liverpool man Alberto Aquilani.

The main ingredient said to be fueling Lampard's motivation is the growing reputation of young up and coming manager Vincenzo Montella whom is rapidly making a major splash in the European coaching community.
