Chelsea Handler's E! talk show is coming to an end later this year.

In a statement released on Wednesday, May 28, the E! Network revealed that "Chelsea Lately" will air its very last episode live on Aug. 26.

According to a May 29 report by Us Weekly, there will be a monthlong celebration of special episodes and surprise guests (perhaps some of her celebrity BFFs including Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston).

News of "Chelsea Lately" coming to an end was first revealed on March 30 by The Hollywood Reporter. In an interview with THR, Handler's manager, Irving Azoff, confirmed Handler would be moving on from E! when her contract came to an end. At the time, Azoff stated that Handler had at least seven offers for new projects, and that he had been hired by Handler to manage her post-E! life.

"I myself am more surprised than anyone that I was able to hold down a job for seven years, and it was a fantastic seven years," Handler said in a statement on May 28. "I will always look back at my time on E! as most people look back at their time in college. I'm glad I went."

Handler's next career move has not been revealed, but for the last several weeks, she's been rumored to be in the running to replace Craig Ferguson, who will leave CBS' "Late Late Show" at the end of 2014.
