Chelsea complete sale of youngster De Bruyne back to Germany

Chelsea had been on the verge of making the sale of out-of-favor youngster Kevin De Bruyne for the majority of this month but completed the sale of the Belgian international just this weekend on January 18, 2014.

The club announced via their official website that they had agreed a deal do see the form Genk star move to German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg.

During his career at Chelsea De Bruyne only made a hand full of appearances having spent the majority of his time on loan to his former club in 2012 and then German side Werder Bremen in 2012-13.

This season De Bruyne made nine appearances supplying one assist and failing to truly impress leaving Jose Mourinho with the decision to allow him to leave.

During his time on loan in Germany last season the young Belgian was very successful scoring ten goals in 34 appearances.

However, De Bruyne truly never found his feet in London and the club have wished him the best of luck at his new club and thanked him for his service for the Blues.
