Chelsea Caswell wins Miss Nevada USA 2013 (Photos)

On Sunday, January 27 the annual Miss Nevada USA pageant was held in Artemus Ham Hall at UNLV. The competition was predestined to be fierce: after the success that 2012 winner Jade Kelsall had, placing third runner-up at the Miss USA pageant, Nevada was determined to send another top challenger to the national pageant for 2013.

A raucus crowd was there to support their favorites, and in the end it came down to two: People's Choice award winner Sierra Black, whose glamorous looks and engaging smile had won her that award, and Chelsea Caswell, a stunning blonde with the face and body of a fashion model. As the two women clutched each other waiting for the judges decision it was evident that the crowd was evenly split, giving support to both. The final announcement was made by pageant co-host Alyssa Campanella, Miss USA 2012, and it was for the elegant Ms. Caswell, who will now be sent off to represent her state in the Miss USA pageant.

Second runner up was Whitney Green, who also won a $750 prize as Miss Photogenic. The annual Miss Congeniality award went to Jessica Davis, Miss Clark County.
