- The chefs are in town! Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appetit takes over the city through the weekend as celebrity chefs from around the world, and many with eateries on the Strip, show off their talents with elaborate dinners and classes at area hotels. French celebrity chef, Guy Savoy flew in earlier this week to get a jump start on preparations, and some play time in with his son Franck Savoy, Director of Food and Beverage for Caesars Palace. They attended the May 3 performance of Absinthe. After enjoying the performance, they had a special meet-and-greet with the popular cast. Other chefs in town for the big event are Tom Colicchio from "Top Chef," Joel Robuchon, Julian Serrano and Alex Stratta, among many others.
- After recently celebrating his 85th birthday, Playboy founder and legend Hugh Hefner, along with fiancée Crystal Harris return to Palms Casino Resort to host the season premiere of Ditch Fridays at Palms Pool & Bungalows today. He arrives at 3:15 p.m. Later tonight, Hefner and Harris will celebrate Playmate of the Year 2011 during a private cocktail reception inside Moon Nightclub. Additional guests include George Maloof, president and owner of Palms, Bridget Marquardt, model, actress and TV personality (The Girls Next Door and Bridget’s Beaches), Jayde Nicole, Playmate of the Year 2008 and TV personality (The Hills and Holly’s World) Jaime Edmondson (January 2010), Kyra Milan (March 2010), Kassie Logsdon (May 2010), Katie Vernola (June 2010), Shanna McLaughlin (June 2010), Francesca Frigo (July 2010), Olivia Paige (September 2010), Shera Bechard (November 2010) and more. The red carpet starts at 8:30 p.m., so get your cameras ready. Some are wondering if his ex Holly Madison will show? She has said his proposal to Harris was difficult for the “Peepshow” star.
- At 5 p.m. today, Kim Kardashian will continue the launch of her new fragrance Gold at Macy’s inside the Fashion Show mall. This is her second fragrance, which she officialy debuted in April.
- The Shane Mosley/Manny Pacquiao fight is on at the MGM Grand tomorrow night. Pacquiao will host an after-party at Gallery at Planet Hollywood Casino & Resort after he cleans up, so to speak, so expect a late night with many celebs in attendance.
- Chris Brown will host a party and get on the mic at Pure at Caesars Palace tomorrow night.
- Ke$ha will travel to Chateau at Paris Las Vegas after her concert at the Palms Saturday.
