If you’re unfamiliar with Demerara sugar, it is simple syrup made with raw sugar. Since it has a richer, deeper flavor than regular simple syrup, it works well in this cocktail. A whole egg adds extra richness too.
KNOB CREEK(R) BOURBON BIG AND STOUT
Makes 1 serving

- 1 Part Knob Creek(R) Bourbon
- 1 1Ž2 Parts Sweet Stout
- 3Ž4 Part of Demerara Sugar or Simple Syrup
- 1 Whole Egg
- Pour all ingredients into a shaker and dry shake (without ice) to emulsify proteins.
- Add ice, shake vigorously.
- Strain into cocktail glass.
