A master of the New Italian Cuisine, Chef Asdren Azemi of Fort Worth’s (Texas) Ruffino’s Italian Restaurant will create a four-course menu at the Inn on Lake Granbury July 20 as part of the “A Series of Remarkable Chefs” cooking classes. Look for chef to combine unusual ingredients to create new flavors that evening.
Ruffino’s Italian Restaurant has been in Chef Asdren’s family for 18 years, after graduating from the French Culinary Institute in New York City, Chef returned to Fort Worth and the family restaurant where he is the executive chef and owner.
While in culinary school, he became protégé to Chef Bradford Thompson formerly of Marie Elaine's at The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Ariz. "I've been so fortunate to collaborate with him on my menus. He's been a tremendous influence on me," Chef Asdren says.
