Cheetah Run 5K

Labor Day weekend signifies more than simply the "no wearing white rule" -- which I think is absolutely bogus, by the way. For many lucky Americans, this holiday means less labor and more time for sun, booze and barbecues as Cincinnatians relish in one of the last official weekends of summer.

Mix a little fitness fun into your long weekend plans at the Cheetah Run 5K on Sunday, September 4 at 8 a.m. This new 3.1-mile course winds throughout the twists and turns of the exotic Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.

Pre-registration is now closed, but those still interested can sign up for a fee of $30. Limited Dri-fit T-shirts will be available for purchase. Race day registration opens at 6:30 a.m.

After the race, kids ages 12 and under can run in the free Cheetah Cub Fun Run, located in the Safari Camp Parking Lot.
