Easy garlic feta cheese dip

Dip a cracker into this garlic feta cheese dip and you won’t be able to stop eating it! This is party food extraordinaire! There are probably only a couple people on earth who don’t like cheese dip and even they may want to try this recipe. The feta, garlic, and other spices blend to create just a little bit of magic in a bowl.

Feta cheese is a nearly perfect food. It’s a cheese made from sheep or goat’s milk that is aged in brine for at least three months. Interestingly enough, the name “feta” has a protected designation of origin – meaning that to be called feta, it must be made in the traditional way. There are other brined cheeses, but they must be marketed under another name (although if they’re made outside of the EU countries, they have sometimes used the name even though they may be made of cow’s milk). Feta is lower in calories than some other cheeses and is a great source of riboflavin, calcium, and some B Vitamins.

Serve this dip with crackers, pita chips, vegetables, etc. It is also delicious as a sandwich spread – try a turkey sandwich spread with feta dip – yum!
