Cheerleader makes second front-flip half-court shot, this time with Globetrotter

Ashlee Arnau, a 21-year-old college cheerleader attending William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss., became an overnight YouTube sensation after making an amazing front-flip half-court shot Thursday night during halftime at William Carey’s men's basketball game. And yesterday, Arnau made that amazing shot again, this time with Harlem Globetrotter Firefly Fisher at her side, according to Sporting News.

Her latest trick shot occurred at the University of Southern Mississippi's Reed Green Coliseum.

Her now famous move includes a running start, picking up the ball waiting for her at midcourt while she’s still upside down, launching the ball at the basket with her legs still swinging forward, and “swish.”

This time around, Firefly made his successful half-court shot first, “granny” style.

And then Ashlee Arnau followed up with a second successful launch of her signature front-flip half-court court shot.

Afterwards, Ashley taught Firefly how to do a cartwheel, after which the Globetrotter tried his hand at Arnau’s now infamous front-flip half-court shot.

Next for the college cheerleader, who also runs track and plays soccer for William Carey, is to try her shot again when the Harlem Globetrotters appear at USM on Wednesday.
