It's been a long time coming, our next installment of the beloved God of War franchise. And just to ease the pain of the wait by a tad, GameTrailers has been given the go ahead by Sony Santa Monica Studios to put up the first 30 minutes of its splendor.
Without getting too much into what we're actually being shown here, let's just say that it's good to see Sony embracing a more fierce marketing campaign this time around with one of their blockbuster franchises.
Sony's never been one for marketing, at least not as prolifically as their competitors such as Microsoft, but they get the job done more of less. So it's good to see them attacking with everything they've got this year by securing a full two minute TV spot during the Super Bowl later this month and of course by releasing this 30 minute bloodbath to get fans all riled up.
While it's far too early to say who'll dominate the next generation of gaming consoles, with the news of the PS4 on the horizon and smart advertising choices such as this, it seems that Sony might be getting tactical (and much needed) a headstart right out of the gate.
