What do you get when you have Joss Whedon, coming off his success of The Avengers, coming out with a trailer for his newest film, your curiosity is peaked. When you realize though that the film is Much Ado About Nothing bringing together Nathan Fillion (Castle), Amy Acker (Angel), Alexis Denisof (Angel) and that's just a hinting of the talent involved here, you get excited.
The film, due to be released on June 7th, is Whedon's take on William Shakespeare's play. Filmed back in 2011, the film was done in a quick period of time, said to be twelve days. Considering the passion behind this movie and the team behind it, Whedon's fans are going to flock to see this film. After all, besides the regular cast of the characters of Whedon's crew, you also have Clark Gregg (The Avengers) playing a role in this film, a great lead up to his lead role in S.H.I.E.L.D.
Keeping up with Much Ado About Nothing's release has been a difficult one, but now we know that the film is on the way this summer. Considering Whedon's pedigree coming off of the Avengers film, I won't be surprised if this film gets a wide release. For the Whedonites among you or fans of Shakespeare's work, place a mark in your calendar for Much Ado About Nothing on June 7th.
