Strands of fiberglass that has been especially coated is used in these cables for the purpose of carrying data in the form of light pulses. A separate part for reception and transmission is provided as these cables are installed in pairs. In several locations, using fiber is preferred over cable, even though it is a tad more expensive. Fiber optic networking cables are not susceptible to any sort of electrical interference and are also quicker, in contrast to copper networking cables.
