One year ago, a dangerously overweight Chaz Bono appeared on "The Doctors," where he was advised to lose between 50 and 80 pounds. On September 11, Chaz returned to the show and proudly displayed his 65-pound weight loss success to the beaming physicians.
Reflecting on his weight, Chaz said happily, "I just feel much more comfortable in my skin now. Everything is easier. Everything physically is easier, everything feels better, and emotionally, I feel more comfortable and confident.”
How does his mother Cher feel about her son's health? "She’s pretty happy." revealed Chaz. "My family was concerned about my health and now everyone is really happy. They can also see how much better I feel and how much happier I am.”
And Chaz expressed his appreciation to "The Doctors" for motivating him to lose weight for his health. In November 2012, Chaz appeared on the show and was cautioned about his dangerously high blood pressure, blood sugar levels and high cholesterol. At that time, he confessed that he felt "out of control" with his diet.
But Dr. Travis Stork emphasized the critical nature of Chaz's weight at that time: "Now is the time," Dr. Travis declared. "Failure is not an option."
And now that he's succeeded, Chaz reflects: "I'm not going to say it was easy, but I've had so much support. It's made it doable and up until now it hasn't been, so thank you." Learn more about Chaz's specific diet tips by clicking here.
