Three weeks after hiring KiJuan Ware as their new football coach, Chattanooga Central will be looking for another coach.
According to Central Principal Finley King, Ware, 38, will not be coming to the program and the search for his replacement will begin immediately.
"All I can say is that Coach Ware will not be our head football coach," King said.
King did not elaborate any further.
The Purple Pounders are coming off a 4-7 record a berth in the Class 4A playoffs.
Ware was hired the first week of March to replace John Allen who resigned and is now the head football coach at Powell.
Before being hired at Central, Ware had been a college assistant for the last 11 years and served as the offensive coordinator at Eastern Michigan last season.
Ware had been on the college circuit working on such staffs as Springfield College (2002-04), Dartmouth (2004-06), Georgetown College (2006-08), Notre Dame Offensive Graduate Assistant (2008-09), Miami (Ohio) (2009-10), Western Illinois (2011-12) and Eastern Michigan (2013).
Currently there are open jobs at Chattanooga Central, Morristown East, Cascade, Mt. Pleasant, Dresden and Mt. Juliet Christian as schools currently looking for a head coach.
