Chase.com down on Tuesday, March 12, 2013

This Cleveland Examiner knew her previous articles about Chase.com being down or intermittent outages were receiving a lot of hits, so a visit to Chase.com brought a surprising large banner message not usually seen on the banking website.

"Welcome," it reads. "Our website is temporarily unavailable. We're working to quickly restore access. Please log on later."

The Chase Support team on Twitter has reached out to customers with the following message in the wake of the online site being down on Tuesday:

Chase Support ‏‪@ChaseSupport writes, "*ALERT* We continue to work on getting Chase Online back to full speed. In the meantime, pls. use the Chase Mobile app or stop by a branch."

That message came around 4:37 p.m. ET, which followed a previous message from approximately 2:37 p.m. ET that read, "ALERT* Chase Online is experiencing intermittent issues. We are working to resolve and will keep you updated."

With all the interest in celebrity accounts being hacked, Chase customers are looking with interest to see when the banking website will return to normal.
