Charter Schools are a big part of President Obama’s Race to the Top challenge to improve education, so Examiner.com has developed the Examiner National Charter Schools Directory.
The directory is a collaborative resource developed by more than 50 local and national Examiners throughout the country. It is designed to help families easily find charter schools in their area and provide an online resource of websites for readers interested in the topic.
You can also check out the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, the Center for Educational Reform and the Florida Charter Schools Alliance websites for more information.
There are currently 4,600 charter schools in 40 states, including Florida. This list covers north Florida. I’ve also published a list for central Florida charter schools. The schools are listed alphabetically by county. If a county is not listed, then there are currently no charter schools in that county. If you click on the county name, it will bring you to it's district website.

Thanks for the comprehensive list of charter school contacts. I really know nothing about charter schools. I do know that I wish that there was not a need for charter schools. However, I do know there is a need for tremendous change.
Unfortunately Charter Schools fail due to lack of Good Business Operations. Questionable objectives. A lot of money received by Grants and results not better than our "Public" Schools.
