'Charming guy' accused in string of Vancouver stabbing attacks

A 'charming guy' accused of committing a string of violent stabbing attacks at a Vancouver apartment building is facing a dozen charges according to a report from today at the Leader-Post.

A co-worker says Jerome Bonneric, 33, was a "nice, charming guy," and a good worker, well liked by customers. Currently, it is unknown what sparked the attacks, but authorities say an "investigation will look at whether mental health, drugs or alcohol played a role in the attacks."

Eight people were injured in the attacks that sent six people to the hospital, one in critical condition. Jerome Bonneric faces four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of assault with a weapon, three counts of common assault and one count of assaulting a police officer. Sources say he allegedly attacked residents in the hallways of an apartment building at random on Thursday night.

This 'charming guy' is scheduled to appear in court on Monday. His co-worker says customers have been calling the shop he worked at to express shock.
