Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant will also spice up Valentines Day celebrations on Friday, Feb. 14 with their special Menu para Dos: a menu for two which includes an appetizer, entrée for 2 and dessert for only $25. At that price, all wallets can easily participate in the love holiday, while the in-house drink specials might just quash other inhibitions.
Just a short drive down Interstate 64, Valentines Day celebrations could include hundreds of wine tastings at the 7th Annual Virginia Wine Expo. Tickets for various seminars and tastings of the weekend long event range from $45 to $175. Activities include tastings, food-wine pairings, historic Richmond tours, Virginia sparkling wines and more. Sounds like tickets to the Virginia Wine Expo could be a great Valentines gift, and an exciting weekend trip. The event will be held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center and nearby venues; advance ticket purchase is required.
Need a closer destination for a Valentines celebration? Look no further than local White Hall Vineyards’ Wine and Chocolate Pairing event, featuring the local favorite, Gearharts Chocolates. Held from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., on Sat., Feb. 15, this event will also feature live music by Curtis Prince and Travis Elliot. Call 434.823.8615 for reservations ($15, plus tax), which are required.
Looking for a special last minute Valentines Day gift? The City Market Art Show, held Feb. 15-16 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., won’t get your Valentines Day gift on time, but it could be a great retail way to spend the holiday.
