In the past, Charlotte Ronson has given us sun-kissed, surfer girls with an eye for fashion. She managed to make bohemian prints look high class and we loved her for that. But, recently at New York Fashion week, she threw us all for a loop with her sophisticated and modern Fall 2012 collection.
Instead of the usual bronze, free-spirited girl; each model was light-skinned and fashion forward. It seems that Ronson has definitely evolved towards a cleaner style, geared for the modern woman. She refined each look with tailored coats, pencil skirts, fitted knits, and ladylike accessories. Also new to the collection, was the addition of handbags paired with hats and gloves, for an overall fall ensemble. There were still those “staple” boho prints and colors from one look to the next just in a fresh and edgy way. Only Ronson can make flowing, sheer skirts and leather tops look effortlessly perfect.
The designer walked the runway at the end of her show wearing a boho, chic outfit, insprired by the collection. It should be exciting to see where she takes her line next season. Click through the slideshow for a lookbook of the runway looks.
